Ben Flournoy
Back to topWhat happens when a kid spends Covid-lockdowns binging on guitar tutorials instead of death scrolling brain-rot?
You get Ben Flournoy. He’s a perfect example of what good can come out of a person being locked in for months and months without anything else to do than to dig DEEP into your passions.
Sure, Ben Flournoy can be virtuously technical, but he plays with the touch and soul that knows how a blues veteran would do it, but instead gives it his own funky twist.
But he’s not taking anything for granted. In middle-school, he changed to home schooling so he could focus on the music and has not looked back since. He’s all in. No plan-B.

Roppolo was also introduced to the blues at a young age by Scott Dunbar, a blues musician from nearby Deer Park, Mississippi, who played frequently throughout the region.
“Blues is so close to gospel, and there’s such a fine line between Baptist gospel music—it’s the gospel music that’s closest to blues and country music,” said Roppolo. “My original stuff is country—but I’d be hard-pressed to put a label on what kind of musician I am.”

Amy Allen
Back to topBorn and raised in El Dorado, Arkansas, Amy Allen has been surrounded by music her entire life. She learned the rules of music from her father, a minister of music and junior high choir director. Elanore Swede
Back to topTo put it into terms of simplified complexity, Elanore Swede is 6-pieces of psychedelic / prog rock weirdness that spans the gamut from catchy synth jams to de-tuned blistering thunder on a dime, all while still having time to mix up Latin grooves with spaghetti western licks, post punk vibes, old school punk hat tips, reggae drops, beautiful piano passages, jazz flavors, metal mania, psychedelic improvs, and anything else they can think of to create what is known inside the band circle as “the treatment”.
The result is a cacophony of haunting revelry, of foreign yet familiar sounds that forms the band's main sound. Whether you like 4-minute bangers or 12-minute epics, it's best to buckle up, dig in, and enjoy the trip.

Tyron Benoit Band
Back to topTyron hails from Houma, Louisiana, where music and culture are plentiful.
Tyron recalls, “I remember the first record I ever owned. It was a Ray Charles album. I must have been around 10 years old. Even when sharing a record player with three other brothers, or when the player finally broke, I just remember holding onto it, hiding it, like it was a piece of treasure. Little did I know how valuable it really was in terms of musical influence. I wouldn’t realize that ‘til much later in life, but looking back, it never left me, holding onto that record, even when I couldn’t play it. Ray Charles is still one of my all- time favorites.”
Tyron is firmly at home now, with a growing list of locations where he can be seen and heard. He has released the album, “Waiting on Friday,” in May of 2022 and has been a part of the national festival scene ever since... He has played the French Quarter Fest and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival; the Durango Blues Train; Smoothie King NBA Halftime Show; the Lucerne Blues Festival in Switzerland; and a wide array of other venues and festivals... from Washington State, Montana, Colorado, Indiana, Virginia, Kentucky, and a growing regional presence in Texas, Mississippi, and his home state of Louisiana. The response– from the sound crews, to the talent buyers and festival organizers, to the crows- has been overwhelming!
In the fall of 2025, Tyron will be released his latest album, “Mid City.” It is full of songs that further solidify Tyron’s reputation as a serious songwriter, with beautifully crafted songs that showcase his rock, country, blues, and zydeco influences and style.

He is a former drugstore clerk, landscaper, farm hand, waiter, house painter, pizza deliverer, and fry cook who currently spends his time canoeing the creeks of south Mississippi, riding his bike to the snowcone stand, and going for leisurely walks with his dogs.
Cary’s music career began with a bang when his band placed third at the Sumrall High School Talent Show in 1980. In the late 80’s he moved to Oxford and started The Hilltops with John Stirratt (currently bassist with Wilco), and shortly thereafter John’s twin sister Laurie joined the band. After five years of touring, recording, and liver damage, The Hilltops called it a day and Cary and Laurie moved to Los Angeles in 1990.
While living in Venice, Cary worked in a deli and hung out with the guys in Weezer (fun), walked on Zuma Beach hoping to meet Neil Young, started a band called Blue Mountain with Laurie, and experienced the Rodney King riots (not fun). After moving back to Oxford in 1992, Blue Mountain began touring nationally, signed a deal with Roadrunner Records, and Cary recorded their classic Dog Days album with producer Eric “Roscoe” Ambel. They went on to record more albums, played shows with Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Wilco, The Jayhawks and Wille Nelson, were the cover story of the second No Depression magazine, and in 2011 were voted “Most Legendary Oxford Band” by the readers of The Local Voice. After parting ways with Roadrunner, Cary and Laurie started Black Dog Records with Chris Hudson and released albums by Blue Mountain and Marah, among others.
Blue Mountain went on hiatus in 2002 and Cary began working as a solo artist, touring and releasing five albums. Blue Mountain reformed in 2007, recorded Midnight in Mississippi and toured extensively in the US and Europe. In February of 2013, Cary and Laurie announced that Blue Mountain would play its final show at the North Mississippi Hill Country picnic that year.
Cary has played guitar for Bobby Rush, RL Burnside, Big Jack Johnson, Shannon MacNally, Dayna Kurtz and many others in his close to thirty years on the road. He was chosen as one of the Top Ten Alternative Country Guitar Players by Gibson magazine, and his songs have appeared in TV shows and movies including the George Clooney film Up in the Air. He recently released his sixth solo album, Town and Country (mixed by Multi-Grammy winner Trina Shoemaker). Blue Mountain’s tune “Mountain Girl” to be on SundanceTV series "Rectify," episode #304. Cary’s sincerely trying to be a better person, and hopes to someday whistle like Professor Longhair.

Rachel Tanner
Back to topFrom the soulful backwaters of Mississippi to stages that light up hearts, Rachel Inabinette Tanner weaves raw emotion into songs that hit like a summer storm- fast, fierce, and unforgettable.
Born and raised in Vancleave, Mississippi, Rachel Inabinette Tanner, now 51, grew up steeped in the rich, rhythmic pulse of the bayous. Surrounded by the electric sounds of her parents’ record collegian- Mozart’s elegance, Jimmie Rodgers’ twang, Janis Joplin’s fire, and Muddy Water’s grit- Rachel’s musical roots run deep and wide. Evenings in her childhood home were alive with her daddy’s guitar strumming and the joyful chaos of kids singing and dancing along. At 12, she picked up the guitar herself, guided by her father’s hands, sparking a lifelong love affair with music.
It wasn’t until her 20s that Rachel began pouring her heart into songwriting, discovering a gift for crafting lyrics that capture raw emotion in a flash. “My best songs come quick, in the heat of the moment,” she says, a sentiment that resonates with songwriters everywhere. Her music, like the bayous she calls home, is a powerful current of feeling- sometimes serene, sometimes wild, always authentic.
A proud mother of two, Rachel balances family with her blossoming career. She’s currently burning up the studio in her spare time, working on exciting new songwriting and singing projects. As part of a dynamic new trio, she’s hitting the ground running, booking gigs and bringing her soul- stirring sound to audiences far and wide.
“I’m thrilled about where this passion is taking me,” Rachel shares. “It’s a blessing to be on this adventure.” With her guitar in hand and a heart full of stories, Rachel Inabinette Tanner is a songwriter to watch- one whose music will leave you humming, feeling, and wanting more.
